Get Keira Knightley’s ladylike look (as seen in her new film, A Dangerous Method) without looking like you stepped out of a period piece.
Arguably, every girl has a soft spot in her heart for something lacey, delicate and undeniably feminine. So when we saw Keira Knightley impeccably dressed in the most romantic pieces in David Cronenberg’s new film, A Dangerous Method, we were inspired to add some old-fashioned flair to our modern wardrobes. The film, set in pre-World War I Zurich and Vienna and based on the relationship between legendary psychologist Sigmund Freud (Viggo Mortensen), Dr. Carl Jung (Michael Fassbender) and Sabina Spielrein (Keira Knightley)—an 18 year old girl diagnosed with hysteria—is a must-see not only for its juicy affairs and fascinating historical plot, but for Knightley’s girlishly demure wardrobe. Instead of just obsessing over the spot-on period costumes (created by the director’s sister Denise Cronenberg), we shopped around and found some pieces with a more up-to-date allure.
