Cher Horowitz‘s pastel cardigans, Baby Spice‘s cropped, bubblegum pink t-shirts, my favorite sweater for watching TRL: mohair smacks of ’90s fashion. But unlike some of that decade’s hallmarks (flannel, overalls, rainbow nail polish) it really hasn’t really made a comeback.
Until now, that is. For fall, the fuzzy Big Bird fabric has boomeranged back into fashion, so we’ve rounded up our favorite ways to get involved (again). Paired with tougher trends—camouflage jackets, leather dresses, collar necklaces—the snuggly material looks less cutsey than ironic (cue Alanis Morissette).
