Yeah, this one’s not going anywhere.
In a single stroke—seriously, just one—Make Up For Ever’s most highly-pigmented lipstick imparted a tattoo-like wash of color, so insanely budge-proof, I imagined I’d need a Swissper soaked in rubber cement remover to take it off. (Cold cream worked just fine, in the end.) Even crazier, the formula’s not heavy at all. Once I put it on, the thin layer of color seemed to become one with my lips, and I didn’t have to think about reapplying it for a good three to four hours.
Now if it’s a slick, buttery lipstick you’re looking for, this isn’t your product. Rouge Artist Intense has a bit of a drag to it (which you can lessen if you prep your lips with balm). But if staying power—and a gorgeous, always-appropriate neutral color—are your top priorities, consider your search over.
