I’ve wanted these Acne pistol ankle boots for a while. I hadn’t bought them because, at $570, they were more than $100 over what I feel comfortable spending on a pair of designer shoes. (Anything above $450 makes me cringe, which I know isn’t saying much, because that’s still a crapload of money.)
But Lucky writer Sarah Miller’s post on her obsession with Rag & Bone’s Newbury boot not only convinced me that she did indeed need to pull the trigger and buy them, but that I also needed to pull the trigger and buy these.
Why are they so great? Well, the heel is chunky AND short—which means they’re easy to walk in—and they look fantastic with skinny black jeans, which I wear a few times a week.
And I didn’t even have to go over my "limit" to buy them: they’re currently 40 percent off at Bergdorf Goodman‘s in-store sale. But if you can’t get to BG, buy them online at Farfetch.com, Barneys.com and Matches.com.
