As anyone with a vast knowledge of rom-coms knows, Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore have been co-star buds for a while now. First, there was The Wedding Singer in 1998, followed by 2004’s 50 First Dates —with a few projects squeezed in between, of course (Drew’s cameo in Big Daddy was brief, but great!). Their latest double act, though, was on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last night, performing an original ballad.
Drew began the song by crooning, "Every 10 years, I promise to love you," with which Adam then followed, "I’ll always be true, even as we get older." Early on in the two-minute tune, Drew declared to Adam, "You are the [Fred Astaire] to my Ginger Rogers," to which he replied, "You’re the Rob Ford to my crack cocaine."
But the audience didn’t really get going until Adam promised, "I will still love you when your boobs touch the floor." Drew, who is now a very visible seven months pregnant, smiled and joked, "So, right now?" Adam then replied sweetly, "Not yet!"
Aw, those two! They sure know how to pull at the heartstrings. Watch the adorable performance below:
