Alexander Wang has been cooking up the perfect fragrance ever since he took on the role of Balenciaga’s creative director in December 2012, and it’s finally—almost—here! Named simply B Balenciaga, the perfume launches worldwide this October.
"It took a lot of soul-searching, but I really wanted to do something quite pure, as I see it as a step forward for the house," Wang told WWD. "It was exciting working on the scent and going to the essence of the brand, to its DNA, and to also combine that with my vision."
The design of the bottle also reflects this aesthetic. The glass is reminiscent of the marble floors in the house’s original Parisian salon, while the cap references the architectural elements found in recent collections.
As for the scent, expect strong green top notes with a woodsy base. Sounds divine, no?
