Allison Williams‘ Girls character Marnie Michaels may be having a rough couple of seasons in the romance department (thanks a lot, Charlie!), but clearly, that doesn’t translate to real life: she just got engaged!
To whom, you may ask? The 25-year-old’s now-fiancé is her boyfriend of three years, Ricky Van Veen, who is the co-founder of popular comedy website CollegeHumor; according to People, the two met through mutual friends.
Earlier this month, Allison told Glamour that she would prefer to separate her career and her family when the time comes: "My goal is to create a career I can walk away from and become a mom," said Williams. "I’d love to be a mom—and not have to bring my kids into my trailer…Or a balance [of both]. But you’ve [got to] call it on the fly to a certain extent."
Despite any forthcoming nuptials, we don’t think the daughter of NBC news anchor Brian Williams is going to quit show business anytime soon. After all, her career is just starting, and as a fashion darling of many major brands, kids are probably not even on the horizon.
Congratulations, Allison! You’re going to make quite the stunning bride.
