H&M has teamed up with Anna Dello Russo on a line of accessories inspired by her own extensive collection. Everything is slated to arrive in about 140 store worldwide next fall, on October 4.
"Anna has a fantastic eye and a strong taste, apart from being a veritable fashion icon," Margareta van den Bosch, the company’s creative advisor, told WWD. "The collection is a celebration of excess, fantasy and decoration."
While this partnership is a small departure for H&M—the mega-chain has never collaborated with an editor—taste-wise, it makes perfect sense. The street style star’s flamboyant fashion sense is just like the Swedish brand’s clothing: trend-driven and infectiously fun.
Beyond the one gold-and-turquoise-heavy image on the left, pictures of the full range have not been disclosed. We did, however, find a video on Graziadaily.co.uk of Vogue Nippon‘s editor-at-large at home, showing off her well-stocked closet. (Or "bibliotheque of fashion," as she calls it.) She also mentions her design debut by saying that her goal is, "the bargain of fashion" and she wanted to do accessories because they are "the focus of my life."
