It’s been a big year for Guess. First, the brand celebrated its 30th anniversary with a special collection and a campaign starring former Guess girl Claudia Schiffer. Next up? Guess by Marciano—an extension of the regular line—will launch its first ever capsule collection designed by Swedish style blogger Elin Kling.
Kling’s designs, which include bustiers, distressed denim and sleek embroidered dresses and blazers, stay true to the Guess brand as well as her own minimalist style.
"Most of the inspiration was from the Guess archives," she said at a cocktail party celebrating the launch of the collection last night in New York. "I thought it would be fun because they are turning 30 years to actually use the history. So I found these iconic pieces like the bustier, and then did everything how I would wear it in 2012."
We’re not surprised Kling’s collection is so cool—and seemingly easy to wear. Last year, the budding designer collaborated with H&M on a line (she was the first blogger to do so), and is a founder of the label Nowhere.
Elin Kling for Marciano will be available at Marciano retail stores, select Guess and department stores and online beginning October 22. Click through to preview our favorite pieces from the collection.
