We so rarely get to witness celebrities in their natural habitats—i.e. not on a robotic media tour, prim and proper red carpet or otherwise—that when we do, the world goes fairly insane. Yesterday, supreme goofball Cara Delevingne uploaded two somewhat secretive videos to Instagram showing chit-chat between stars in a Met Gala elevator.
Despite Delevingne’s obvious supermodel status, apparently no one in that elevator—which included Reese Witherspoon, Kate Upton and Zooey Deschanel—knew how to pronounce her last name. In fact, a very Southern- and candid-sounding Witherspoon warned, "If you force me to say your last name, I’ll be f—ked." Deschanel chimed in with various pronunciations of Cara ("Care-a? Car-a?"), while Upton added, "Karen? We don’t know."
We presume that due to the video’s impromptu nature (and the fact that a wee bit of alcohol was likely involved), Delevingne has since removed the videos (yes, there are multiple ones!) from Instagram—but alas, here they are on YouTube:
And here’s Witherspoon stating that the most important part of a girl’s name is that "a man can whisper it in his pillow":
