Although lots fall campaigns dropped last month—Prada, Louis Vuitton and Burberry were some of the first—plenty are still trickling in. We just spotted advertisements for next season from two of our favorite French brands: Celine and Balenciaga. And they’re both worth ogling.
Celine’s campaign was shot by Marc Jacobs‘ go-to guy, Juergen Teller, and reflect his signature surrealist style. Taken against washed-out backgrounds, Daria Werbowy casts a high-contrast shadow in several shots. These are interspersed with candid looking images of other models, product pictures and some random flamingos.
The ads from Balenciaga are completely different, but equally interesting to look at. All the spreads were snapped by Steven Meisel, and contrast the futuristic collection against an abandoned beach scene. Models Linn Arvidsson, Julier Bugge, Sophie Hirschfelder, Juliet Ingleby and Anniek Kortleve pose wearing a bunch of clothes we’ve seen Kirsten Stewart—the face of the label’s new fragrance—wearing on the red carpet this year, including her Met Ball outfit.
