Did you know that Chipotle has an online store? And I don’t mean the part of its website where you can order burritos for pickup, but rather an actual e-commerce site that sells non-edible things. There are stainless steel Klean Kanteens, Element skate decks made from Canadian maple wood and several varieties of tote bags that customers are encouraged to use for groceries. Most recently, it’s debuted a line of Loomstate clothing for men, women and children, including modified versions of the Chipotle staff uniforms, which the brand also created.
The collaboration is in honor of Earth Day 2013, a holiday that shares both companies’ environmentally conscious outlooks. “It was a natural fit [for] Chipotle to [team] up with [a brand like] Loomstate, widely recognized as a pioneer of sustainable fashion," Christ Arnold, the Director of Communication at Chipotle said in a press release. "[Our] restaurants are [also] created using organic and sustainable materials and socially-responsible methods of production."
Order yourself a little something for April 22 on Chipotle.com, and then go celebrate your eco-savviness with some tacos for dinner. Just be sure to recycle the bag!
