The Scene: The presentation was at the Promenade. And the vibe was Old Hollywood glamour.
The Look: The inspiration for the show was old Judy Garland movies. Chris told me that he thought his girls might want to get a little more dressed up this season, so the pieces—while still very him—are more formal and a little more grown-up. I asked him how he always keeps it so real and he told me that he feels like it’s his role in the industry to keep things fun. And we totally love him for that. The models had intensely big hair to go with their attitude (the makeup was done by Lancôme) and they wore crab claw gloves. Not the most convenient for grasping actual objects, but hilarious nevertheless.
The Pieces We Want: All jacquard everything—it’s a major trend this season. I’ll take a pair of those crab claw gloves, too.
