There’s some exciting news for the Italian fashion house Costume National on this snowy morning: the company is launching a brand new collection, called Costume and Costume. As WWD reports, the line is to replace the 10-year-old C’N’C Costume National, the "younger sister" of the Costume National family which was launched in fall 2004.
Well, what can we expect from Costume and Costume’s new goods? "Compared to C’N’C, which was very focused on sportswear and denimwear, this new line will be more contemporary and Web-oriented," Costume National chief executive officer Carlo Capasa told WWD. And as you can see in the first look looks above, that means lots of muted shades, patent leather and sleek casualwear—perhaps in the vein of Alexander Wang’s downtown designs for Balenciaga.
Starting from the Spring 2015 collection, Costume and Costume will place a larger emphasis on e-commerce, an effort that fell slightly short with C’N’C Costume National and which will be fully made up for thanks to an online store dedicated to the contemporary line.
