The latest A-lister to join Chanel’s ranks of famous brand ambassadors, which includes the likes of Gisele Bündchen and Brad Pitt, is Diane Kruger, as the new face of the brand’s skincare products. Officially, this role means she’ll be appearing in the line’s upcoming campaign, but her influence will go far beyond billboards and glossy ad pages. Now, every time a red carpet reporter, magazine editor or friend inquires about her always flawless visage, the answer will undoubtedly be "Chanel."
Still, even without the contract, Kruger would probably endorse the French fashion house. A close friend of its current creative director, Karl Lagerfeld, she often shows her support by wearing double C couture on the red carpet and attending the label’s many fashion shows. She has also modeled for the company in the past—in 1996 for its Allure fragrance and promoting its Paris-Biarritz handbags in 2007—giving her ample time to get hooked on its wide variety of creams, perfumes and makeup. So while the title is new, it’s very possible that Diane’s has achieving her spotless complexion with Chanel for years. And if that’s the case, why wait for her ads to release? Let’s all order a tub of La Blanc today!
