Spring Breakers star Vanessa Hudgens was the special guest at last night’s DVF Loves Roxy launch, where she chatted with a couple of pro surfers, posed for photos and hammed it up with a surfboard (Instagrammed proof at left). We’re not suprised she’s a brand fan, as Diane von Furstenberg‘s signature ’70s-style prints and flattering cuts trenscend both entire generations and fast-changing trends—and both translate well into the iconic designer’s brand-new capsule for surf and swim label Roxy.
Back at the collaboration’s press preview late last year, we asked von Furstenberg how the team-up came to be. "Roxy wanted to do something special for its anniversary," she told us. "It was fun, and a way to get through to that really young, athletic girl. We created all the prints—I wanted something slightly Hawaiian, but in a DVF way."
Click through to shop the DVF Loves Roxy collection, most pieces from which hover around the very accessible $50 mark. Should you be worried about flaunting your not-exactly-beach-ready body, the designer herself stresses that a barely-there bikini isn’t your only shoreside option. "The sexiest bathing suit…could be a wetsuit, a one-piece. It’s all about how you wear it—your confidence," she told us.
