If you’re lucky enough to be in the New York during FNO, the selection of parties and events can be seriously overwhelming. Since there’s only so many hours in the evening, we’ve done the leg work for you, right down to what trains to take. So don’t fret guys, here’s the key to one incredible evening. Outfit not included.
1. 3:00 PM-Bergdorf Goodman:
Beauty experts from cosmetic giants such as Bobbi Brown, Clarins and Chanel will be on tap until 6 to help you prepare for you big night on the town. If you decide to stick around for the rest of the party, big fashion names like Oscar de la Renta and Michael Kors are scheduled to show up, but we’d recommend coming early and heading out not-too-late: there’s a whole city of stores to visit!
2. 5:00 PM-Saks Braid bar:
Things are sure to quickly heat up at the Saks braid bar so join the scene early to secure your chair. While the hair masters plait your hair catch up with hosts Rebecca Minkoff and Man Repeller Leandra Medine.
3. 6:00 PM-Henri Bendel:
Modeled after the famous LES Hester Street fair for the night, Bendel’s is the perfect place to grab a quick snack on the go. Plus, the boutique-style department store is teaming up with Swarovski Elements for the evening to cover the entire space with sparkling crystals.
4. 7:00 PM-Opening Ceremony at Ace Hotel:
Take the F train from 57th street to Herald Square and beeline for the Ace Hotel. The el mercado de carnaval de Opening Ceremony happening tonight promises live performances (with entertainers outfitted in Alexander Wang, Proenza Schouler, Suno and OC costumes), games and an appearance from Miss Piggy herself. Don’t delay too long though, the night is young and SoHo awaits!
5. 8:00 PM-Kirna Zabete:
Hop on the 28th street R train and get off at Prince Street before heading over to Kirna for some major designer spotting. Everyone from Proenza Schouler to Thakoon will be on site. Plus, if you haven’t bought anything by this point, this is the place to start. Between the amaze-balls shoe selection and just-in fall collections you’ll be more than tempted.
6. 8:45-Marc Jacobs:
Wander down Mercer street and pop in Marc’s downtown store for a free carnival tote bag and Sofia Mini champagne toasts.
7. 9:00 PM-Stella McCartney:
Take a stroll to the Spring Street C/E station, zip up to 14th Street and make an appearance in the Meatpacking District. If you’re hoping for some celebrity sightings, we’d recommend stopping by Stella. Between her A-list clientele and VIP friend list, the attendance is sure to be star studded.
Get on the L train and end the night in Williamsburg. The venue at Bird will be booming with guest DJ beats fueled shots of Tito’s Vodka and free grilled-cheese sandwiches.
