Swedish blogger and street style star Elin Kling can officially add another profession to her résumé: clothing designer! Just yesterday, she announced the launch of her inaugural clothing line, called Totême. The 20-piece collection, featuring pocketed dresses, linen trousers and cashmere pullovers, is actually a collaboration with Elin’s fiancé Karl Lindman and will debut in select stores in May. According to the collection’s official site, Toteme-NYC.com, the collection is "focus[ed] on luxury leisurewear," with trousers and dresses beginning at $350. The line looks clean and crisp, with a minimalist color palette of white, navy, green and pops of orange-red. The line will be carried by a small number of retailers: Net-a-Porter, The Line (and stylist Vanessa Traina’s corresponding SoHo shop, The Apartment), and Nathalie Schuterman in Stockholm, as well as on Toteme-NYC.com.
This announcement is right in line with the recent trend of bloggers launching their own clothing collections: Bag Snob’s Tina Craig and Kelly Cook announced their new handbag capsule on Monday and Chiara Ferragni of The Blonde Salad fame has had a shoe line since 2010.
