We have a lot of respect for Emma Stone‘s red carpet persona. While she often receives high praise for the way she rotates her hair color between varying shades of red and blonde, it’s her sartorial styling that has won us over as of late; she (like us all) has come a long way since her Superbad days.
Last night, Emma showed up to the Paris premiere of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 in an almost Lady Gaga-esque black Lanvin dress made out of PVC. This plastic polymer (shout-out to high school chemistry class there) serves as a faux-leather material remnant of something out of Catwoman—wait, wrong superhero.
PVC can be a difficult fabric to pull off, but if you’re going to experiment with scientifically-produced materials, Lanvin’s a designer you can certainly trust. Plus, see below: she accessorized the strapless dress with a cool, four-piece ear cuff.
Very impressive, Ms. Stone.
