Anybody who’s seen Pan Am knows what amazing shape Christina Ricci is in. From wearing the legendary stewardess uniform to working the red carpet in stunning body conscious dresses, it’s safe to say any woman would kill for a bod like Ricci. But it doesn’t come easily—she certainly puts in the work for it! Elizabeth Hendrix Burwell is the woman responsible for helping Ricci stay in such incredible shape. She and her husband Clay own an advanced personal training facility called High Performance NYC where stars, models, pre-natal women and post natal women alike get their sweat on through a variety of different and unique workouts.
With eleven years of Pilates training, as well as an extensive knowledge of how the body works due to her intensive dance background, Burwell has expertly mixed various workout disciplines—from Pilates to resistance training—to create a program that simultaneously develops flexibility, core strength, balance and corrects posture—and, of course, helps you look good in outfits like Ricci’s.
