Despite the gale-strength winds and cold-for-LA weather, the city’s hippest and slickest packed into West Hollywood boutique TenOverSix on Sunday to celebrate local label Wren’s spring collection and view director Gia Coppola‘s short film, featuring Wren-dressed actress Bella Zarember.
Guests including Clemence Poesy, Nora Zehetner, Allison Miller, Jacqui Getty, Natasha Lyonne, and Liz Goldwyn, all wearing their Wren best, indulged in lavender-infused cocktails made with Kanon Organic Vodka, shopped the racks, and bopped to DJ-spunned tunes by Victoria Bergsman, the lead singer of indie band Taken by Trees.
Though the film was on loop all night, half way through the party, the lights dimmed and the crowd gathered around to watch Coppola’s three-minute short. "It was shot in my mother’s house in LA and the lead actress is a family friend," she said. "I’m proud of it, though it still feels awkward standing here, with everyone watching it." When everyone clapped after the film, Coppola smiled, saying, "That was really nice." And with that, she made her way back into the crowd.
