When a pouty-lipped Claudia Schiffer smoldered in Guess’ 1989 ad campaign, she instantly set the standard for the brand’s signature sexy vibe. It’s now 23 years later, and the model’s reunited with the label, this time to star in its 30th anniversary campaign. And let us be the first to say: it doesn’t seem she’s aged a day.
To celebrate three decades of success, the company is shooting a series of images based on their work with Schiffer between 1989 and 1991. Dressed in bustiers and bombers, the supermodel poses coyly in all the ads with the logo "30 Sexy Years" scrawled in red at the bottom.
“Shooting the Guess 30th anniversary campaign was like going back in time," the supermodel told WWD. "It brought back so many great memories and has been a lot of fun."
Accompanying the special advertisements is a special capsule, appropriately called the "30th Anniversary Collection." The limited-edition line includes 15 pieces priced from $39 to $138, all inspired by notable Guess girls (such as Adriana Lima and Eva Herzigova) of the past. Starting on April 24, all the pieces will be available at flagship locations worldwide, as well as department stores and the brand’s new website Guess1981.com—which was created especially for the event.
