We joined style bloggers and fashion reporters last night for a delicious dinner, hosted by designer Erin Fetherston at The Fat Radish. Farm-to-table fare and cute Christmas crackers set the scene for the main event: an introduction to The Cools, a new online marketplace.
Although the objective of Thecools.com is to provide an easy way to buy and sell products online, the site also serves as a fashion-centric community. Upon joining, users are asked to fill out a quiz about their style preferences; this directs them to the products that suit them best. After buying something, the filter fine tunes its suggestions, allowing for a steady stream of covetable options. Within your personalized profile, there is also an option to post inspiring images and videos, plus a history of recent buys.
And for those looking to clean out an over-crowded closet, The Cools makes it easy incredibly easy to sell pretty much anything. By uploading a photo of your item and adding a few specifics, other shoppers can immediately began to brown your mini boutique. If anyone purchases something you post, the money is instantly funneled into your PayPal account.
Although The Cools is still in private Beta testing mode (a select crew of industry insiders have been trying it out), the creators have extended an invitation to Lucky readers to preivew the site before it officially launches. Click here to sign up now.
