Alexander, one of the most celebrated fashion journalists in the world, was most recently the fashion director at The Daily Telegraph. She was also the recipient of the prestigious Eugenia Sherman Media Award at the 2011 CFDA Awards.
The show, Behind the Seams, promises to give viewers unprecedented access to the world’s top designers, including Karl Lagerfeld, Diane von Furstenberg, Jean Paul Gaultier, Roberto Cavalli and others. (We’re feeling a Style with Elsa Klensch moment here.) Could this be the antidote to reality television? Ms. Alexander seems to think so and we’re inclined to agree. "This is not reality TV. This is all about real fashion. Real designers," she says. We’re sold and can only hope we’ll be able to see it Stateside.
