Today is the busiest shipping day of the entire year. As wonderful it would be for Santa’s elves to handle all our holiday shipping needs, the man in the red suit is preoccupied with tending to his own upcoming, worldwide deliveries. Meaning, we’re left to anxiously await our own deliveries as they arrive from the lovely drivers zooming through the streets (and skies).
As we’re officially eight days out from Christmas, today represents the first deadline for those of us looking to receive items by the morning of December 25. More than 300 packages a second (yes, truly) will be delivered this week, so remember, delivery services will be quite busy—especially during this shortened holiday season.
With that, know your deadlines to ensure a stress-free lead-up to Christmas—and that means no, you don’t have to refresh your ordered good’s live tracking page every seven minutes (just us?). It’s not too late, as long as you keep these deadlines in mind:
December 17: UPS Ground (typically take from one to seven business days to deliver)
December 21: UPS Second Day Air
December 23: UPS Next Day Air
December 17: FedEx Home Delivery and FedEx Ground
December 19: FedEx Express Saver
December 21: FedEx 2Day and FedEx 2Day A.M.
December 23: FedEx Overnight
United States Postal Service
December 20: First Class Mail
December 21: Priority Mail
December 23: Priority Mail Express
