Since we pretty much shop every day, all day, cost is always an important factor when making purchases. Despite the drag that working out a budget can be, we recently heard one money saving tip that we can totally get on board with.
According to Farnoosh Torabi, the new financial editior of Manilla.com, America lets up to $8 BILLION go to waste in unused gift cards and Internet offers (from sites like Groupon or LivingSocial). So logically, why don’t we all start saving money by using what we’ve already spent?
Even if you’ve had second thoughts on a coupon/voucher you bought, most companies will allow you to trade it in for a new deal. Also, you can put them up for grabs on secondary selling markets like Lifesta, DealsGoRound and CoupRecoup. As for unwanted giftcards? Try trading them for something better suited to your taste on websites such as SwapAGift.com and PlasticJungle.com.
So no excuses, guys! Now is the time to start sifting through your purse and inbox for some spending freebies. Remember, $8 BILLION. Just think how many pairs of sparkly Miu Miu pumps that could buy!
