Mark your 2014 calendars, ladies: Inès de la Fressange, the très, très chic French model and onetime Karl Lagerfeld muse, is designing a collection with high street retailer Uniqlo to launch next March. The womenswear line will feature quintessential Parisian elements—because obviously—which we imagine will include navys, stripes and varying shades of whites and neutrals.
"We talked regularly with Inès and exchanged views on a number of subjects including fabrics, design and fitting," said Naoki Takizawa, Uniqlo’s design director. "Inès’ own lifestyle and approach to fashion closely mirror [Uniqlo's], and I am very pleased to be launching the new line that we have created together."
The 57-year-old (we need those anti-aging tips, stat…) is following in the footsteps of Jil Sander, Celia Birtwell, Lulu Guinness and Orla Kiely, all of whom have designed collections for the Japanese chain.
