Joining the ranks of other esteemed and extremely chic actresses like Natalie Portman, Charlize Theron and Marion Cotillard, Jennifer Lawrence has snagged a coveted contract with Dior. More specifically, the Hunger Games star will be the next face of the house’s Miss Dior handbag—a role previously held by Mila Kunis. This will be Jennifer’s first-ever fashion endorsement, and we’ve gotta say—we’re thrilled she held out for the good stuff. (Clearly, the odds were in someone’s favor.)
Jennifer sat front-row at Dior’s July couture show, and told WWD, "It’s such a dream to represent an iconic brand that is synonymous with high fashion." Interesting, considering the buzzy 22-year-old actress has always favored a more low-maintenance look. "I hate being overdressed so I normally find a way to ‘casualize’ anything too showy," she continued. "If I have a red-carpet event, I definitely want a couple hours to get ready. But for my everyday life, I’m normally ready in 15 minutes."
We think Jennifer’s an absolutely perfect pick for Miss Dior. We also think that any fire dress Raf Simons could make her would blow Cinna’s efforts out of the water. Just sayin’.
