It’s not easy to outshine Shia LaBeouf—but Jessica Chastain managed at the Monday night premiere of Lawless in New York City. To go with her YSL vintage dress, the actress wore YSL makeup. A pink flush on her milky skin looked so pretty. Prettier than Shia—it’s true.
Celebrity makeup artist Patti Dubroff was the expert behind Jessica’s dreamy look. When she breaks it all down, it seems fairly easy! "I started with Le Teint Touch Éclat in B10 working form the center of the face outwards to create an alabaster flawless canvas. I then brightened under the eyes as well as the eyelid using Touche Éclat #1," she says.
"To add a pearl-like quality to Jessica’s face, I bended a sheer layer of Dare to Glow in #3 on the center of her eyelid and tops of her cheekbones. I applied Creme De Blush #2 on the apples of her cheeks to give Jessica’s face a fresh flush. The beauty of the makeup is in its simplicity. I applied a generous coat of Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils Shocking in black and VERY fine line of Effet Faux Cils Shocking Felt-Tip Eyeliner. For color I used YSL Rouge Pur Couture #7: Le Fuchsia."
This natural, but still made-up, makeup look is pretty on point—and it kind of makes me want to go for this very orange-red haircolor. Thoughts? For now I’ll stick to this YSL lipstick because it’s too pretty.
