We’ve been hearing a lot of buzz about Joe Fresh lately. After a few September issue sightings ("Who makes that amazing camel coat? Who is Joe Fresh?!") and word of a successful outpost in the Hamptons ("You went to Joe Fresh in Long Island? Did they have any camel coats?"), we’ve been hoping for a local branch of our own.
Born a small clothing line that was sold in Canadian grocery stores (seriously!), Joe Fresh has grown into a burgeoning retail giant. Today the brand begins its East Coast domination with the opening of a small holiday pop-up on the Upper East Side, soon to be followed by another temporary outpost at 34th Street.
Luckily for us, the chain doesn’t plan to stop there. The brand also has four permanent locations in the works, all launching within the next six months (Bridgewater Commons and Roosevelt Field in NJ and Fifth Avenue at 16th and 43rd street in NYC). All new stores, decked out in the retailer’s signature orange signage, will carry the company’s entire affordable line for men and women (children’s clothes will be available at the Bridgewater location).
If you haven’t met Joe Fresh yet, we suggest you visit the site and get acquainted. This could be the start of a beautiful friendship.
