Jason Wu, you’re making us hungry.
For the past two seasons, the 31-year-old contemporary womenswear designer has shot campaigns featuring 1990s supermodels at some of New York’s most famed eateries. For Spring 2013, it was Stephanie Seymour at La Grenouille, and he took Christy Turlington to Mr. Chow for Fall 2013. So this season, we had a feeling Wu wouldn’t disappoint in continuing his pattern of wining and dining.
The brand-new Spring 2014 campaign images include yet another ’90s supe (and also his most recent runway show opener), Karen Elson, half-standing on one of the iconic forest booths at Indochine—a Big Apple restaurant extremely close to Wu’s heart.
"I first went to Indochine when I was a student at Parsons," he told Style.com. "I snuck into a party there during fashion week and met Cindy Crawford. I was so starstruck!"
Ah, so that explains his affinity for ’90s supermodels! "As a child of the ’90s, I’ve always idolized supermodels, and that was the first time I had ever met one," he went on to say. "It was a religious experience."
