Karl Lagerfeld doesn’t drink, but that doesn’t mean he can’t appreciate the beauty of a bottle of red–specifically the 2009 Château Rauzan-Ségla, whose label he just designed.
Like so many things Chanel, the sketch of the vineyard’s castle is intricate, gorgeous and richly colored. (Observe that fuschia border: a small yet oddly perfect detail.)
Beyond the wine’s outstanding quality, the label renders the bottle an ideal showpiece for a home bar. And that’s probably why the Chanel designer ordered several cases, despite the fact he’ll never imbibe them himself. [WWD]
