Karl Lagerfeld is nothing if not a designer for the people. From his quirky lady look at Fendi to his masterful interpretation of Chanel‘s peculiar French style, there is a Karl piece made for every woman. And now, those of us on a budget can actually afford one.
Last night in New York City, the designer and Macy’s launched their much-anticipated collection–Karl Lagerfeld for Macy’s Impulse—which hits stores August 31. (Look out for the ads starring model Coco Rocha.) Karl wasn’t physically present for the festivities, but his image was splayed all over the walls of the venue, just so we wouldn’t forget who brought us these pretty frocks and separates. We were quite impressed with the tweed suit—which reminded us of a certain iconic brand–as well as the black shirt dress with a white French collar. For those who’d like to channel the 1970s, Lagerfeld also included a flower printed blouse and dress inspired by his work at Chloe during the era. The range is priced between $50 and $170.
