"So #30days30lipsticks is officially over. Looking back at the photos, I’m feeling pretty sentimental. It was a fun month of experimentation—it went by so fast! Through the process, I discovered some great lipsticks that have added diversity to my repertoire, but there were a few problems I ran into…
Weekends: On an average weekend, I’m generally going to places where lipstick could be considered aggressive, unwarranted, or even unwanted. Over the 30-day time span, there were definitely a few lazy Sundays that lived up to the ‘challenge’ aspect of this thing. The commitment of trying a new lip color on a day of running errands around the city kind of stressed me out, but isn’t a full life about stepping out of one’s comfort zone?
Selfie-taking: I’m usually unamused with those who take selfies every day, but this little project of mine required quite a few of them. Thirty, in fact. I tried to make things more interesting with the use of random props, but no one wants to see that many selfies of anyone. Unless Ryan Gosling had an Instagram account. Or David Beckham.
Being busy: Though the thoroughly-busy Eva Chen practically invented the idea of the artfully-curated post of work essentials (read: macarons), some days in the office were just so chaotic that I wouldn’t even think about my post until the end of the day. I’d never truly forget because I was wearing the lipstick all day, but my mother never failed to text me a bunch of lipstick emojis as a reminder. Thanks, Mom!
With the above being said, #30days30lipsticks was a highly enjoyable experience and I’m glad I could share it with you all. Thanks for following along!"
