It’s all wedding bells for Lauren Conrad. With her own fairy tale nuptials set to take place in a matter of months (or so we think…), the 28-year-old lifestyle guru is all about multitasking: not only is she planning a special day of her own, but she also helped out with her “bestie” Maura’s California wedding last week, too. So, it’s only fitting that Conrad is combining her design talents with this new Father of the Bride-esque hobby.
Yesterday, the bride revealed a new collection of Paper Crown bridesmaid dresses on the cover of Martha Stewart Weddings’ fall issue, all of which are now available to shop on Paper Crown’s website. With 12 floaty, romantic frocks to choose from, Conrad can rest assured that all nine of her own bridesmaids can pick something evocative of their own personal style.
“In our collection, we’re only doing a few dresses that aren’t long,” Conrad told Martha Stewart Weddings. “We’re doing full-length, a couple midi and then we have a couple to-the-knee. We didn’t really go shorter than that because it doesn’t really feel appropriate, and if that’s what you want, then you can always shorten the dress.”
Conrad has the right idea—which is why she’s choosing a color scheme (each dress comes in six hues) and from there, letting her gal pals pick the Paper Crown dress they like best. And with a price range of $220 to $325, it’s not like these dresses are going to be huge splurges, either. She explains: “I don’t mind if there are a few girls in the same dress, or if people are all in different ones.”
That goes for hair and makeup, too: “I’m letting the girls do whatever they want,” she said. “I think that weddings are about celebrating, and you want everyone to feel comfortable, so I think it’s about whatever is going to make them feel pretty.” #BestBrideEver? Let’s get that hashtag trending.
