Kate Middleton could arguably be L.K. Bennett’s biggest fan—she wears the British brand’s nude pumps with nearly everything—but the label is partnering with a different stylish lady from across the pond: Caroline Issa. WWD reports that the fashion director of Tank magazine has signed a deal with the company to collaborate on a capsule line of six pairs of shoes, including everything from loafers to pumps, and two bags. Everything will be priced between £245 and £275. (That’s roughly $395 to $443.)
Haven’t heard of Issa before? We’re willing to bet you’ve seen her. The editor regularly receives coveted spots on the most famous street style blogs—The Satorialist and Garance Dore—and recently starred in J.Crew’s tongue-in-cheek "We Know You’re Out There" campaign. She’s usually photographed in a button-down and tapered trousers in vivid hues, sometimes with a chunky knit layered on top. Her footwear, however, is consistently the best part of her outfits.
"My style philosophy has always been about letting your shoes do the talking," she told WWD. "So I tend to dress with shoes as the starting point."
Caroline’s limited edition line is strategically slated to hit store and the web during the Fall/Winter 2013 fashion shows on February 19. And while we can’t guarantee that buying a piece will get you snapped by Tommy Ton or Phil Oh, you’ll definitely look like you should be.
