The clothes in Club Monaco‘s fall lookbook are photographed against a brick wall backdrop—a seemingly insignifcant setting, but also kind of not. I’d imagine it echoes more than a few of the apartments of the girls who will buy these clothes: exposed brick walls that frame pretty, geometric rugs, chandelier-like light fixtures and coffee tables decorated with mason jar vases and glossy photo books.
It’s the sort of easy-yet-elegant décor of a girl with a wardrobe that matches. A wardrobe full of things like the pieces in this lookbook, from the polka dot tops to the rust-colored trousers and the requisite navy button-down shirtdress.
Click through the slideshow below to preview a few of our favorite fall looks, which could each be worn a dozen ways without veering into too preppy or too pretty territory. Instead, the clothes have a simple but charming feel (kinda like, say, an exposed brick wall).
