When I hear Erin Fetherston‘s name, I think of ethereal gowns with frothy skirts and all the lavish events I could wear them to. With a major emphasis on the "could" part. Unfortunately, most parties on my social calendar call for a more understated dress code—not floor-length silk, even if it is really, really pretty.
Fortunately, the eponymous designer’s Spring/Summer 2013 collection caters to both black-tie and daytime occasions. So for every evening-exclusive sparkly sheath and dip-dyed chiffon column, there’s a more casual option—like a studded pink moto jacket and lipstick-printed pants. Of course, those pieces work for nights out, too—and they’ll look a whole lot less conspicuous the morning after.
