My husband says that every time I mention luxury label Céline, visions of Ms. Dion dance in his head. Hopefully that association is relegated to the past after yesterday, when he witnessed what had to be the biggest Céline score of the year.
Thanks to Barneys‘ 60 percent off sale and some gift cards, I was able to buy Phoebe Philo-designed loafer heels for just $79. Barneys doesn’t sell its Céline stock online, which means you have to go to the physical store to get a pair. (They’re currently marked down to $279 from $695. I saw them in black, as well as pink and black, at Barneys’ Chicago location.)
And for real Céline addicts, the doctor bags are marked down as well. (The snakeskin had been slashed to below $3,000.) Now that my husband knows the incredibly important difference between Céline and Celine, maybe he’ll help me add to my collection.
