Last Sunday, Mary Katrantzou showed one of our favorite London Fashion Week Spring 2013 collections thus far. The print maestro is one of our favorite UK design talents, but her bold wares don’t come cheap. Most are priced in the four-figure range.
Imagine our excitement, then, when Style.com announced the designer’s new collab with denim label Current/Elliott, purveyor of the best boyfriend jeans and cool cutoffs on the market. With this collaboration, Katrantzou joins fellow Brit Christopher Kane and New York’s Peter Som, who both work with denim labels (J. Brand and Earnest Sewn, respectively).
This being a Katrantzou production, the capsule won’t just contain basic blue jeans, but dresses, skirts and tops as well—all of which come emblazoned with the designer’s Spring 2013 banknote and stamp prints. And while the pieces aren’t exactly inexpensive at around $230 to $530, they’re far less costly than most of her offerings. Which makes us pretty happy.
