Detailed denim might sound like a garish, Jersey Shore-style trend, but in the case of MiH and Shopbop.com‘s new capsule collection, it’s not. We promise.
Instead of bedazzling the jeans in a flurry of rhinestones or stamping the back pockets with aggressive graphics, the collaboration kept the details discreet.
You might not even notice it at first, but that colored embroidery on the waistline? It’s not a belt, but the anchoring detail of the collection. Complementing the ’70s flares and cut-off shorts, the little effect gives the jeans an extra dimension of cool—but in a quiet way.
We’d wear them with cropped sweaters and booties this winter, or with a plain white tee and charm necklaces in the summer. Which is exactly what Ruby Aldridge did in the lookbook. Peep a few of the shots below, and shop the full range (white cutoffs, tunic dresses) here.
