Miley Cyrus tends to evoke some pretty strong reactions in people. Whether you’ve had her latest album Bangerz on-repeat or you much prefer her "Party in the U.S.A." days (hey, totally fair), chances are you’re on one of two ends of the approval spectrum. But despite her polarizing antics, it’s hard to argue with one key facet of the 21-year-old’s career: she’s a darn good singer—take this video of her covering Lana del Rey’s "Summertime Sadness" for evidence.
Another undeniable fact? She can put on quite a show.
"Everyone likes to talk about the shock factor and what I’m not wearing or what I’m wearing or whatever it is, and that’s not what I want it to be about," Miley tells the camera in this behind-the-scenes video of her tour, courtesy of Vevo. "There is that element to it, because I also love that…A lot of my fans are young and they’re buying these tickets for themselves so I want it to be a show that they can remember."
She continues: "Sometimes you leave a show and you don’t feel you know the artist anymore. I want people to come to my show and after feel like they’re connected to me and make it even more personal."
