As today’s token supermodel-slash-lifestyle-guru-slash-skincare-maven-slash-general-multihyphenate, Miranda Kerr is pretty much everywhere these days. Ever since her Victoria’s Secret contract wasn’t renewed last year, she’s taken her wide-ranging talents to everything from singing to tea cups. She’s also on the June/July cover of Lucky—as if we had to tell you that.
But if you asked the 31-year-old Aussie about her job, she wouldn’t call herself a model; with so many ventures now part of the Miranda Kerr brand, she says her skincare line KORA Organics is the real jewel in her professional crown.
“From my first photoshoot at 14, I never saw myself as a model,” she told Net-A-Porter’s weekly magazine, The Edit. “If someone asks me what I do, I say, ‘I have my own skincare line.’ I don’t define myself as a model.”
Is there a pattern we’re sensing here? Just last week, Karlie Kloss told Into the Gloss that, no, she doesn’t consider herself a professional model, either. She explained: “I have yet to determine what my job actually is but, yeah, modeling is a fun and funny gig.” Sound familiar?
