This fall, A.P.C.‘s Frenchie-cool collection is getting a heavy dose of Americana with another Nike collaboration. This time, the Oregon-based sneaker gurus are creating exclusive, unisex versions of the Dunk and Air Max styles for the brand, set to debut in stores and online August 30. Each pair will be marked between $85 and $120 and comes in neutral colors—navy for the Air Max and the Dunk in ecru, brown and navy—suited to the company’s laid back line.
"It’s all very classic looking, trainers that don’t shout too loudly," Jean Touitou, the founder and owner of A.P.C. told WWD. "It will give people the opportunity to wear a trainer with a very chic coat."
New footwear, however, isn’t the only thing the label has in the works. It also plans to roll out a range of leather jackets call "Louis W." next autumn, named for one of the brand’s top designers, Louis Wong. More retail locations should also be opening soon: over the next 12 months, new shops are scheduled to launch in Paris, London, Los Angeles, Tokoyo and Milan.
It sounds to us like A.P.C. is poised for world domination. But, hey—if that means more slouchy striped shirts and cushy high-tops for everyone, then we’ll happily submit.
