I like to consider myself an extreme—and at times aggressive—Disneyhead. Name the old-school animated movie (or, you know, Frozen), and I’m nearly positive I not only own it on VHS, but can also recite a handful of lines or lyrics verbatim. There are many ways to measure the intensity of a true Disneyhead: How many rides you can name at Disneyworld? How many times you cried while seeing The Lion King on Broadway? Can you name Mickey Mouse’s first-ever film?
To answer the latter, Mickey make his onscreen debut in the 1928 animated short Steamboat Willie—and Opening Ceremony has just launched a special capsule collection to celebrate the landmark movie, featuring its iconic artwork and film stills printed on brightly colored tees, button-down shirts, sweatshirts, sweaters, socks and hats. As the champion of all things cool, Opening Ceremony certainly did the eight-minute long flick sartorial justice.
