All the front row stars at yesterday’s Chanel couture show wore black, white or black and white—except one.
While Cameron Diaz, Alice Dellal, Diane Kruger, Vanessa Paradis and Daphne Guinness opted for variations of the house’s signature color palette, Elizabeth Olsen mixed it up a bit. Okay, a little: the Martha Marcy May Marlene star chose a dark blue blazer and black pants, which isn’t exactly some sort of Nicki Minaj-style rainbow pom pom dress. But still, that navy blazer stood out in a river or black and white ensembles, which is probably the first time we looked at something we normally wear to work and thought "hey, that’s different."
But since brands like Chanel are in charge of delegating the front row outfits, it must’ve been a conscious choice to set Elizabeth apart from the pack—perhaps because she’s younger and making her first appearance at a Chanel show ever?
