Peter Som‘s designs are the (gluten-free) bread and butter of ladies who use words like "chignon" and "luncheon" on the regular. Pencil skirts, pastels, swingy dresses—the kind of stuff that begs for cat-eye sunglasses and pumps. In short, his clothes are never not pretty. But they’re also never not expensive—like this floral and lace peplum dress selling for $1,400 on Shopbop—which is exactly why we’re so excited Anthropologie teamed with Som for its latest Made in Kind designer collaboration.
While the capsule still has that Som prettiness, the fabrics are less precious than what he sends down the runway, so the prices are much more reasonable. Take this floral peplum dress below, which is a not-insane $228. It’s the perfect wedding season party dress (just add simple chandelier earrings like the model and you’re set) and I actually like it more than the $1,400 one. Go figure. Shop it—and the full capsule collection of cheerily printed dresses, tops, skirts and jackets—below.
