Nearly three years after Kate Middleton became an official member of Britian’s Royal Family, we’re all still talking about one particular debut, one that immediately became an international sensation: Pippa Middleton‘s derrière. When Kate’s younger sister made her entrance at Westminster Abbey in April 2011, all eyes were glued to Pippa’s curve-hugging Alexander McQueen bridesmaid gown—which was soon followed by memes and tabloid spreads galore.
Yesterday, the 30-year-old author and event planner spoke at the Women in Advertising and Communications dinner in London, squeezing in a quick quip about her trim posterior. As Pippa told the event’s 400-some attendees: "As I have found out, recognition has its upside, its downside and—you may say—its backside." She then went further to say that she was "glad it fitted," only to add: "In retrospect, it fitted a little too well."
According to Grazia, she also mentioned that she didn’t sleep for two nights prior to the Royal Wedding because she was so nervous. Had she only known the type of acclaim she was to achieve, we imagine she would have gotten an ample amount of shut-eye.
