Doesn’t it seem like just yesterday that we were enjoying our first glance of Prince George in front of the Lindo Wing’s doors? Eight months after the tiniest royal graced the world (and his proud parents the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge), the British monarchy has released a new portrait of the family—dog Lupo and all.
The photograph, released this weekend and taken by the same photographer (Jason Bell) who lensed Prince George’s christening portrait, was shot in March, according to a release posted on the Crown’s website. The young family looks—to use a particularly English word—fetching, coordinating in muted blue and cream tones.
George steals the spotlight in an adorable powder blue sweater that appears to have his name stitched on the front. He looks, of course, bigger and older than he did in the last photograph we saw of him, with a feathery combover that bears a certain resemblance to his 31-year-old father’s. He’s growing into a darling little lad, and we can’t wait to watch him grow up with that perfect royal family of his.
Long live the king!
