New York designer Rachel Antonoff‘s the undisputed queen of all things whimsical and feminine; her printed A-line frocks and sweet rompers are summertime staples of ours, and her delightful presentations are consistently a NYFW highlight (models eating cake, anyone?).
As it turns out, however, the girl behind those cult-favorite "Birdie Forever" sweatshirts also appreciates a good deal. She’s teamed up with Kmart for the superstore’s Money Can’t Buy Style contest, which launches today—and as part of the project, she’s filmed a styling segment for Kmart’s Remix Series in which she dresses her mom, grandmother, a friend and herself in a classic pencil skirt from the retailer’s Attention label. How does Rachel manage to make the same piece work for several different generations? By mixing in pieces from her namesake collection to yield a myriad of different looks: retro, classic, nautical, edgy, etc.
Check out the adorable clip below, then take Rachel’s styling challenge for a spin by putting together a like-minded look! Snap a photo of your "remixed" ensemble and share it via Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #MoneyCantBuyStyle, or on the contest tab on Kmart Fashion’s Facebook page. Submissions will be accepted from now through June 24—and one lucky winner will receive a $500 Kmart gift card, plus a shot at a trip to NYC. Not too shabby!
